When I feel like something salty, it's best to make a cheese pie, especially if I have the sheets and cheese at hand, then I make the most delicious pie known to us, "Dobrogean Pie". It is a filling and delicious appetizer and is welcome at any meal! It is usually made with Telemea cheese or even combined with cow's cheese (if you don't want it too salty) and baked in a round tray, I didn't have a round tray but it can be baked in any other tray!
The picture looks better if I did it when the pie was hot, but I was busy 'eating' :)

  • For a large 50 cm / 40 cm stove tray
  • 1 packet of Phyllo pastry sheet (thin sheets) 450 gr
  • 500 gr telemea or 250 gr telemea and 250 gr unsalted cow's cheese
  • 500 ml sour cream
  • 6 eggs
  • 150 ml oil

Servings: 15

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes

First, thaw the pie sheets at room temperature or leave them in the fridge overnight.

Grate the Telemea cheese and mix it with 3 beaten eggs and half the amount of sour cream.

Put the oil in a cup and prepare a silicone brush to grease the sheets.

The rolls are made of two sheets that we will grease with oil then we put the filling in one edge and we roll. We grease only the first sheet with oil, we will put the filling on the second one.

Grease the pan in which we bake it with oil and place the rolls next to each other. I could fit 6 rolls.

In a bowl, beat the other 3 eggs and mix them with the remaining cream. Pour the resulting composition over rolls and spread it well.

Preheat the oven to 180ºC and bake the pie until it browns nicely on top.

It is very good when hot, it is served with a glass of whipped milk or even with a glass of red wine!

It's delicious!

Good appetite!
